* Course Dates: MONTHSPELLEDOUT DATE to DATE, YEAR 

* Classes are DAYS SPELLED OUT. For a total of 10 classes: 1/16, 1/17, 1/18, 1/23, 1/24, 1/25, 1/30, 1/31, 2/1, 2/7. 

* Class Times: 2 pm - 5 pm PDT/AZ, 3 pm - 6 pm MDT, 4 pm - 7 pm CDT, 5 pm - 8 pm EDT.

This course is a blast! I'll have you crying and laughing and hugging and cheering.  

The course is highly interactive and creates a community of learning among the participants. Anyone 16 + is welcome. All skill sets are welcome from total newbie to years in the field to retirees. This course is for anyone who leads talks or programs to audiences including: tour guides, park rangers, educators, clergy, salesforce, coaches and mentors, storytellers, writers, content creators, and more.

The internationally recognized Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG) program is designed for anyone in the interpretive field. Whether you’re a new hire, a professional looking to refresh your skills, or beginning a second career, this course will aid you in improving your presentation techniques. The course combines the theoretical foundations of the profession with practical strategies in delivering quality interpretive programming to visitors.

This virtual course includes:

   * The history, definition, and principles of interpretation.

   * Techniques on how to make your programs purposeful, enjoyable, relevant, organized, and thematic.

   * How to use tangible objects to connect your audience to intangible ideas and universal concepts.

Cost of the course is $235 and includes digital materials.

Option to add the certificate for an additional $165.

To qualify for the certificate, students must: 

   #1 attend all classes synchronously,

   #2 create a program outline, 

   #3 deliver a 10 minute interpretive presentation.

A laptop or desktop computer with good internet connection is required—classes are highly interactive on Zoom and with other online resources.
