When your topic has become caught up in polarizing news media, preparing our talking points can be tricky.  In addition to researching our topic to separate facts from spin, we also need to research what our audiences might come in believing.

In an era when visitors often think their news is right and the other is propaganda, how do we help interpreters to tell a meaningful and thought-provoking story for all?

This will be a roundtable conversation rather than a mini-training so please come ready to share your own strategies and best practices with the group.

• How we make sure our research fleshes out a whole picture

• The role of research and audience awareness in inclusivity
